As NBA fans we find ourselves dreaming of the possibilities of a player undergoing massive transformations. There's no secret that every NBA offseason is filled with reports that a specific player has put on a specific amount of muscle. Yes, my friends, the famous "muscle-gains" that are often so popular.
But at times we also get the other side of the story, in which a player loses a considerable amount of weight in order to improve their conditioning and theoretically...become a much better player on the basketball court. Well, it looks as if the Denver Nuggets star big man has been putting in some serious work during the quarantine.
Nikola Jokic with a Kevin Love level glow up getting thin and improving his style is not something anyone could have expected during quarantine lol pic.twitter.com/quKlQQ7OSR— Kevin O'Connor (@KevinOConnorNBA) June 11, 2020
The original tweet comes from Bojan Brezovac (@Breza89) and showcases an incredible transformation from big man Nikola Jokic. "The Joker" drew his fair share of criticism at the beginning of the 2019-20 season as he looked to come into the season a bit overweight. Jokic struggled out of the gate when it comes to his usual amount of production. As the season progressed, and Jokic saw his conditioning improve, Nikola was one of the best players in the NBA. With the massive improvements in his physique, it will be interesting to see the type of player that returns to the court for the Denver Nuggets when the season returns. On paper, it's easy to get excited about Jokic with his new improved frame. A physical force down low with sensational footwork, the dream of getting an "in-shape" Jokic looks to becoming true to NBA fans across the world.
