Recap: Boston vs Indiana (G4)

Boston Celtics

Indiana Pacers

  • Celtics started this one on an 8-0 run, but again...Indiana fought back and lead at the half.
  • Indiana had led at the half of 3 of the games in this series.
  • Great second half performance from the Celtics. The Celtics bench overall was fantastic in this one, contributing 49 points.
  • Celtics Forward Gordon Hayward looked from the beginning that he was going to have himself a good game. Hayward finished with 20 points (7/9 FG, 3/3 3P).
  • 7 Celtics players finished in double figures scoring wise.
  • Myles Turner with a big first half, including a monstrous poster dunk on Gordon Hayward. Turner would finish with 13 points and 7 rebounds as well as 2 blocks.
  • Tough end to the season for the Indiana Pacers who obviously missed their star Victor Oladipo. Big offseason for the organization, as the Pacers will have plenty of big decisions to make on their roster. Remember, Indiana will have plenty of cap space to work with this summer.
  • Boston will play the winner of the Detroit/Milwaukee series in round 2.

What Did We Learn

Just a flat out defensive grind of a series. Indiana simply missing Oladpio too much in this series. Boston going to need to clean up their play a bit as they move on in the playoffs.

Ladies and Gentlemen...We have our first sweep.
