Oklahoma City Thunder
CHRIS PAUL TAKES OVER

This was an absolutely brilliant performance from Thunder guard Chris Paul in this one. With their backs against the wall, someone for the Thunder needed to take this game over and CP3 was the one to do it. Paul would finish the game with 26 points but his performance in overtime was the X-factor in this one. After forcing overtime, Paul hit back-to-back 3-pointers for the Thunder as they went on to score the first 12 points of overtime.

THUNDER PIECES STEP UP

The Thunder have struggled to get some consistent production across the board from a number of their key pieces in this series so far. In Game 3 it was a different story. Four players finished with more than 20 points in this one, including Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (23), Danilo Gallinari (20), Chris Paul (26), and Dennis Schroder (29). If OKC wants to have a shot to crawl back into this series, and put some serious pressure on the Rockets, they are going to need to fill it up offensively. A player that was brilliant in this one, and it might not show up in the box score, was rookie wing Luguentz Dort. The undrafted rookie, who is known for his defensive ability, did a great job of shadowing James Harden multiple times throughout this one.

HARDEN DROPS 38, FOULS OUT IN OT

It was trending towards an absolutely madhouse showdown in overtime until James Harden would pick up his 6th foul only 53 seconds into OT. Harden was up to his usual tricks in this one, finishing with 38 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists for the Rockets. An interesting development though was the one on one battle between Harden and Thunder rookie Lu Dort...keep an eye on that showdown for Game 4.

What Did We Learn

Not so fast sports fans...Oklahoma City isn't going down without a fight. Still an uphill battle for OKC, but they have life now.
