MIAMI CRAWLS BACK AGAIN
Another huge win by the Miami Heat in this Eastern Conference series who now lead the Boston Celtics 2-0. It's been one of the stranger series in recent playoff history with how the Heat have battled back in both games to take a 2-0 lead. Boston has been the more impressive team for the majority of both games in this one, but keeps letting down their guard against the Heat. Credit to Miami, as they haven't given up and have taken advantage of the situation each and every time.
In Game 2, the Heat found themselves down by as many as 17, before battling back and securing a game 2 victory. Miami now finds itself two wins away from the NBA Finals. Goran Dragic would have himself another fantastic performance, finishing the game with 25 points on 10 of 19 shooting. Dragic continues to be a huge lift for this Miami Heat team, and it's no secret why they are on the verge of an NBA Finals berth. Bam Adebayo was also sensational for the Heat, finishing with 21 points on 10 of 16 shooting as well as 10 rebounds and 4 assists.
LOCKER ROOM MADNESS
After "blowing" two big leads to start this Eastern Conference Finals, the Boston Celtics seemed to have some words for each other in a postgame conference. According to a variety of writers and media personnel, Celtics guard Marcus Smart was the initiator in a very vocal postgame meeting with the entire Celtics team in the locker room. It's not much of a surprise, as the Celtics should have been up 2-0 in this series and now find themselves trailing 2-0 instead.
If this DIDN’T happen I would have been shocked.— Backcourt Violation (@backcourtv) September 18, 2020
Series easily could have been Boston 2-0 but the Celtics have stopped playing.
(Not taking anything away from Miami they play till the final whistle and keep coming after you regardless of score) https://t.co/QKVkYeeIc6
Miami just doesn't give up at any point. Boston all of a sudden faces a MUST WIN in Game 3.
