It's been expected that Lakers star Anthony Davis could potentially have a big series against the Denver Nuggets, and the "brow" started off on the right foot in Game 1. Davis was fantastic for the Lakers in this one, finishing the game with 37 points on 12 of 21 shooting. Davis would also pitch in 10 rebounds and 4 assists in this one. Denver is going to have to figure out how to slow down the Lakers big man, as well as that LeBron James guy, if they are going to want to have a shot to upset the Lakers.
LAKERS OPEN UP BIG LEAD EARLY
After the first quarter in this one, the Lakers found themselves trailing the Denver Nuggets by a score of 38-36. Then they flipped a switch. The Lakers would go on to outscore the Nuggets 67-41 in the following two quarters, basically putting this one away early. Denver would shoot 49.4% from the field and 34.6% from 3 while the Lakers would shoot 53% from the field and 42.3% from downtown.
The Brow is going to be a problem in this series and the Nuggets are going to have to figure out how to slow him down.
